Surrender Request Form

This form is for anyone who is looking to surrender their dog to HHSHR. It is our fosters' mission to provide all HHSHR dogs loving homes for evaluation and preparation for their forever homes. If you have a dog that you need to surrender or if you are an animal shelter or rescue with a husky or husky mix who needs a foster home rather than a shelter please fill out this form so we can give our fosters the most up to date information on all of our potential dogs. The more information we can give our fosters on the first communication the faster we can help and get each dog in the best living situation possible. Please be advised we receive more requests than we are physically able to take and at any point may be closed for new intakes.

Our non-profit is a small group of volunteer fosters who house dogs in our own homes until they are evaluated behaviorally, up to date on vaccines, spayed/neutered, and then ready for adoption.

Unfortunately, as you’ll find with most rescues, we have very limited space. The number of dogs we are asked to take in on a daily basis is much greater than we can keep up with. Due to an extreme number of messages we get daily to relinquish dogs versus the time it takes for us to get a dog ready for adoption, we cannot take every dog we are asked to. We do not have any holding spaces or kennels like a boarding facility would.

At this time, with a limited amount of foster homes, we have a list of dogs waiting to be placed. However, our fosters have the opportunity to choose which dog fits their lifestyle; it is not a first come basis.

WE CAN ONLY ACCEPT REQUESTS FROM THE DOGS LEGAL OWNER

DUE TO UNPRECEDENTED INCREASES IN REQUESTS WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO CONSIDER INTAKE OF DOGS IN MICHIGAN AND NORTHERN OHIO WHERE OUR RESCUE IS BASED
